What is the stupidest thing in the world? The stupidest thing in the world, in my opinion, is ignorance--especially judging someone without even knowing them.

What's your favorite dish to order when you eat out? I go to Basil's downtown and order a huge, cheesy, deep dish pizza with lots of toppings, especially bacon.

What did you do on your best birthday? This year, for my 18th, my family and I went down to Myrtle Beach and stayed right on the beach. It was a great way to just relax and enjoy the ocean.

Do you believe in fate? I don't really believe that everything happens for a reason. I think that we all make the choices that affect how our individual lives play out, for better or worse.

What cartoon character represents you best and why? Definitely Yogi the Bear. In my opinion, there is nothing better than sandwiches and picnics.

What is a good book that everyone should read? I think everyone should read "Night" by Elie Wiesel. After reading it, it really affected my thoughts and made me think real hard about the past and how some events should never be forgotten. It definitely shows the importance of history.

What's your favorite holiday and why? My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. The whole house smells delicious all day long, and it's great to see all of my family together since some of my relatives live across the country from me.

If you could be anyone for a day, who would that person be? I would totally be Iron Man. You know that would be amazing.

What is the nicest thing you've ever done? I feel like the nicest thing I've ever done was staying home from a family vacation so I could help my mom, who couldn't go because she wasn't feeling well. I really had been looking forward to it, but she matters more.

Wo Chan is a rising senior at James Monroe High School.
